Promises and Perils of Public-Private Partnerships
In this short article Sue Winton defines public-private partnerships (also called PPPs and P3s), discusses how they’ve been used by the governments of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, Canada to build and manage schools, and shows that politicians’ claims that the P3s would cost the public less than traditional approaches have often not been realized.
