Inequities persist: Extracurriculars, clubs, activities, and fundraising in Ontario’s publicly funded schools

Fundraising

This report authored by People for Education highlights findings from the group’s 2022-2023 Annual Ontario School Survey of public schools. It shows that most public schools fundraise, although the practice is less prevalent than prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The report also presents variations between what schools in high and low income neighbourhoods fundraise for and differences between how rural and urban schools use fundraised dollars.
