Marginalized children’s views of school choice in global cities: The significance of neighbourhood and nature
In this article, Dr. Ee-Seul shares findings from her study of the perspectives of marginalized children about school choice in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada. The findings shows that children prefer to go to a neighbourhood school where they experience daily connections to nature and feel supported by their community. The article also includes maps of each city to show their socio-economic spatial distributions (based on 2016 Canadian Census data).
